The Single Blade Shave line consists of high-performance formulas, specifically created for use with a single-blade razor, initially exclusively for use by professional barbers, and now available for you to use at home.

This extra-rich formula, created specifically for use with a single blade razor, uses a high concentration of moisturizing emollients like Shea Butter and Glycerin to protect, nourish, and improve the skin's condition. Formulated to work in synergy with the Single Blade Shave Cream to prep the skin for the shave and form an extra barrier of protection between the skin and blade while providing the closest shave possible.

* While created for use with a single blade, this pre-shave can be used with a multi-blade razor with proper care. The high concentration of emollients may clog a multi-blade razor, so please rinse between each pass.

Formula

The enveloping warmth of fine woods, with a Cedar heart and notes of Rock Rose. The spicy scent of Cumin and Saffron mix with mildly sweet Vanilla. An intense and rewarding aromatic sensation gives a feeling of comfort and warmth.

Directions

  1. Apply to damp skin prior to shaving
  2. Massage with circular motions and do not rinse
  3. Shave as normal with Single Blade Shave Cream 
  4. Finish with Single Blade After Shave Balm

Game changer

Total game changer for single blade shaving. Won’t do single blade shaving without it. I use along with the Proraso cream - I thought maybe it would be too much but it’s just right! No more bloody neck - let’s go!

I like the Wood and Spice but not so much that I won’t try the other scents.

Great performance like all of Proraso’s pre-shaves, but this one smells the best imo! The scent is warm, masculine, and fragrant without being overpowering

I'm not usually one to write reviews but this is too good of a product not to give it the recognition it deserves.

The scent of the pre-shave cream is more spice than wood. (I also bought the shave cream and the aftershave balm. The shave cream is more wood than spice, and the balm is good blend of both. All three together make a fine, manly scent that lasts for a good hour or two without overpowering those around you.) The pre-shave cream has a rich thickness that doesn't feel oily or greasy on the skin. It gets between each hair, gives your stubble good volume, and gets the hair to stand at attention for a close shave.

I've had such lackluster experiences with other pre-shave products that I wasn't going to buy this one, but it turned out I would pay more if I just bought the shaving cream and the aftershave balm and paid shipping. So, I bought it really just to save myself a couple of bucks. I'm thrilled with all three products, but the pre-shave cream actually turned out to be my favorite of the three. The scent is just that good, and it's noticeably reduced nicks.

This next point is less an issue for the pre-shave cream and more for the shaving cream itself: take seriously that this is marketed for a single blade razor. I use a one-blade safety razor, not a disposable multiblade razor, and I have to wash the razor after each pass. Personally, I'm happy about that. It has taken me a long time to find a product that produces a truly rich lather, and I'm not about to complain that a product is "too good" at what it's supposed to do.

Finally, I've been using this for a few weeks now. I shave almost every day; sometimes I skip Saturday. The supply you get will easily last a daily shaver around 75-90 days.

All three products are worth every penny.
