Formula

The enveloping warmth of fine woods, with a Cedar heart and notes of Rock Rose. The spicy scent of Cumin and Saffron mix with mildly sweet Vanilla. An intense and rewarding aromatic sensation gives a feeling of comfort and warmth.

Absolutely Outstanding; Reminds me of Oxford

I came across this fragrance, through my barber, while at Oxford. I had been a long time user of the “red” sandalwood shaving cream and aftershave but quickly turned to the “yellow” wood and spice once discovered. The cologne lasts a lot longer, yet is enduring but not over-powering. If you like more spice in your fragrance, this is the one for you. Every time I wear it, it takes me back. Just wish you could get all of the “yellow” products.

Not what I was expecting

The Proraso Sandalwood Red is an exceptional scent and one that I always keep in my rotation. After reading all the positive reports on the Wood & Spice and how it matches up well with the Proraso Red, I thought I would spring for the cologne. In very short order, I received my order and I was so excited to take my first sniff of this vaunted fragrance. I was taken aback. It wasn't what I had been expecting. Undaunted, after my next shower and shave, I sprayed my neck and wrists. My second impression was no better than the first. The Wood & Spice did not work well for me and I wanted to wash it off immediately; but I thought I would give it more time. Maybe it just needed to mellow out. But after putting up with the fragrance another couple hours, I decided that despite all of my wishes, this fragrance was not going work out. Unfortunately I was not alone in my opinion. Later, after her first whiff of the scent, my dear wife asked me to dispose of it. So, it's one star for the scent and then another star added for Proraso's quick delivery and service.
