Break in your Professional Shaving Brush by soaking it overnight in a bowl of water with about a tablespoon of salt. This will soften the bristles a little before your first use.

This is my first brush

The Proraso Professional Shaving Boar hair Brush is my first time ever using a brush and I like using it, in fact if you're not using one now, try it, they're not expensive, but it will give you a better shave.

The boar hair is very soft, but it does take about 20 shaves to break in the Boar hair to maximize the softness, but this one on the first use felt soft to me.

While this brush is not expensive, I wish the quality of the plastic handle was better. The plastic used in this seems to thin and fragile to me.

There are 1000s of brushes, I'm not going to collect them, just find one that I like and stay with it, and I like this one.
