Break in your Professional Shaving Brush by soaking it overnight in a bowl of water with about a tablespoon of salt. This will soften the bristles a little before your first use.

Overall I'm happy

Overall, I'm happy with this brush, it's better than my last, but still not perfect for me. The handle is hollow plastic so it feels light in the hand. I think I would prefer something with a bit more heft to it. The bristles provide a good medium for making lather, but I would like them to be just a bit stiffer. And the bristles fall out frequently and I end up picking them out of the lather on my face or when they get stuck to the razor.

At this price point, I think this meets expectations, but it's leaving me wanting something with a more premium feel and experience.

Doesn’t Compare to my Original Brush

I received the brush July 25 and have used it 1 day. Today, July 26. It is stiff and it is too wide to fit my brush holder properly. It is difficult to separate the wet bristles enough to let me put in a “squeeze” of Proraso shaving cream and “condition” the brush before applying and working up the lather. I suspect this brush might be best used with a shaving bowl.
If it wasn’t for Sheldon at Bigelow Trading handling my search for my order I would probably still be waiting. He deserves your thanks for paying attention to my call for help.
